Mixed Media....Dresser

I picked up a dresser this weekend while we were at Mckinney Trade days, I knew I was going to alter it so it didn't really matter that it was originally pink.

Here are the before pictures.

I picked up some My Minds Eye paper(Miss Caroline) at The Crafty Scrapper this weekend as well. Oh for the love of paper.....What would I do without it?

So here is the completed dresser.....I just need to find some cool handles for the drawers.

Just ignore my daughers hands in the picture...it looks like she's throwing gang signs but she said she's putting on a puppet show. Crazy kid....
Again ignore the hands...here's the top
and the side....the other side is very simular.

Now I'm off to search for some cool handle's. I plan on using this as a display piece at my next show...that is if someone doesn't buy it. Let me know what you think.

Remember go like my facebook page..I'll ad a button here on the blog as soon as I figure out how.
I need more followers....Thanks for stopping by!

World Traveler

Today I thought I would share a couple of the recent pages I have done for the Crafty Scrapper design team. I was assigned a few papers from the Reminisce travelogue line and since I have never been to New York (yet) I knew I could count on my world traveling neighbor since she has been twice. I used my silhouette cameo to cut the New York title and the circles on the second page. The products I used from this line if your interested are as follows: Travelogue die cut stickers, Expedition Destination die cut stickers, Paper: Travelogue- journey of a thousand miles, longitude, new york. If you have travel pictures to scrap make sure you check out the travel section at The Crafty Scrapper, they always have a great selection for different destinations.

Valentine's Project

Teacher Valentine

I have been saving this metal Valentine heart box for a couple of years just waiting on the perfect project. Originally it had Dove chocolates in it that I have to say were so yummy! I needed a teacher gift for Chesney and decided to alter it this weekend and  I love how easy it was to turn it into a gift box that I can use to give a couple of note pads and some other goodies. I plan on stocking up this year when all of the candy and stuff goes on sale for future ideas. Here is my completed project......

The only problem when making gifts for other people is trying not to fall in love with it and wanting to keep it for yourself, hopefully I'm not the only one that does this. Check back later, I'm working on a new Valentine's wreath for my door that I can't wait to show you.
Thanks for stopping by!

Design Team Challenge

My first post of the new year, YEAH ME! Just kidding....I really need to get better at keeping up with this thing. It's not like I haven't been creating and I don't have anything to post. I tell myself everyday I need to add a post and then life gets in the way.....and I just forget to do it. I have a post it note on my computer now so hopefully that will help me when I sit down as a reminder to post. We'll see if it works.
I do have a great post for today and to start things off we were givin a challange as the design team at The Crafty Scrapper to use a diecut frame they have at the store for customers to use. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do but I have the new Pebbles line With Love and I really wanted to use it. So it turned out as a Valentine's theme kinda frame with lots of Maya Road embellishments. Let me know what you think and next time your at the store check out the other neat diecuts they have in the crop room and make something for yourself.

Project Life

Next I wanted to share the first week of  my 2012 Project Life album.
I love Project Life and while some people take a picture a day, I tend to just focus on each month for my album. Since I can't seem to remember to blog on a regular basis it is very unlikely that I can remember to take a picture a day. This year I am going to try to section off my months by weeks. So far so good. There are so many options for this album and the goal is to make it work for you. I have only ordered the page protector pak so far for this year. I plan on ordering an album and one of the core kits to go along with it when I decide which one I want. There are so many ideas and freebies out there on different blogs, I may just use those and not order anything but an album. Here is my Title page and week one.
